Nine-time motorcycling Grand Prix World Champion Valentino Rossi has teamed up with Opel to create a special version of its Adam city car. The car has been created with charity in mind, and will be donated to the not-for-profit Meyer Children’s Hospital Foundation – the unique Adam will go up for auction at a fundraiser this December, with all proceeds going to the organisation.
A LUCKY Lotus Cortina owner has won a £5,000 prize to make improvements and restorations to his car. Pete Shaw was awarded the prize by Footman James classic car insurance at last month’s Classic Motor Show. His beloved 1966 Mk1 Airflow Lotus Cortina had been entered into the competition with much-needed work on the cards.

BMW X6: the lowdown
No, X6 is not a typo but the third X model in the BMW’s 4x4 range. BMW kicked off the Frankfurt show today (Tuesday 11 September) by unveiling two coupes spun off existing models. The 1-series coupe is a two-door notchback version of the baby BMW, but the X6 – an X5 SUV with a melted rear end – was the show-stopper.
